I just finished watching the tv mini-series The Kennedys, starring Katie Holmes as Jackie Kennedy - as a sidenote, she did a fantastic job. Once again, I am struck with complete admiration and I am in awe of the woman she was. She exuded so much grace, was incredibly strong, and, I believe, was an incredible example of a loving mother. One only has to look at photographs of her with her children to know how much she loved them and cared for her family. She also somehow managed to remain her own entity and accomplish a lot outside of her family, rather than blending into the background as, I find, many women do once they're married with children. I can only hope to be like her in the future.
